| A brief introduction to 2006 UL approved GFCI |
| Groud fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) with intellectual end-of-life auto-monitoring function our newly invented GFCI recrptacles have got the new 2006 UL approval and they exceed 2006 UL requir ments.GFCI is technically well known.it is designed to protect the user from electrocution when hazardous gorund fault presents.electronic and mechanical components failure may occur for a variety of reasons.for example,failure may occur because of the norm alaging of electronic components. mechanical parts may become corroded.or expoerience mechnical wear. drvices may failed because of mechanical abuse,or because they are overload when installed.electrical power surges such as from lighting alsomay result in failure.the sensor the detector the switch trip mechanism,and/or power supply may fail.in the prior art,protectivedevices are often equipped with a test button to determine the operating condition of the device.the test button may be actuated periodically to determine the condition of the device.the test result may be indicated in a variety of wanys.for example the test result indicator may be a button that is configured to pop out of the device.the test indicator may be a visual diaplay.such as a lamp or a sound generated by an annunciator.unfortunately the above approach does not provide the user with any indication when the device is at the end of its useful life.in order to overcome the abovementioned disadvantages,we broke through the limitation of tranditionnal tecjnology,invented a kind of novel,intellectual monitoring system will provide an end-of-life of GFCI,thus when the abovemented failure occures,the interllectual monitoring system will provide an end-of-life alarm indication to communicate be the user that the GFCI has reached end of lifr or mechanical failure occurs in the device,the auto-monitoring multi-protection function will trip the GFCI to cut off the power supply automatically.besides,the product has power-failure and reverse miswiring protection functions(refer to instruction for detailed description) |
